Science Museum Photogram Workshop

Photogram, creator unknown, 2014

What better way to enter autumn with an event at the Science Museum!? As part of the museum’s monthly Lates event, Sarah was asked to hold a walk-in photogram workshop this September. The theme was Magic and Illusion, to tie in with the current Joan Fontcuberta show at the Media Space.

Sarah’s portable darkroom hosted around 20 visitors during the space of the evening, providing them with a hands-on experience of making their own photogram.

The atmosphere at the museum was ecstatic, with life DJ’s and other exciting workshops going on. This is how I imagine a great museum to be. Creative, filled by a vibrant crowd, dancing to cool uplifting music, and of course breaking the conventions and staying up late. All this in the midst of the most prolific inventions in history of human kind.

The walls who see hundreds of school kids on a daily basis, were turned into a playground for adults on this late September evening!

Many thanks to our good friend and talented artist Eugenia Ivanissevich for helping out on the night.
