As the dream of the northern European summer continues, I want to share a few impressions of my past week in the Netherlands... While Spyros manned the studio in London I set up my mobile workstation in the small village of Idskenhuizen in the region of Friesland in the Netherlands. It has become a habit to pay a visit to my two favourite photography museums in Amsterdam, FOAM and Huis Marseille, whenever I travel to the Frisian country side. This visit however there was only time for one museum, and I decided to see Walker Evans - Decade By Decade at Huis Marseille, a wonderfully curated show of his earlier and less known work. Arriving at my Dutch home, I could not help but be reminded of the similarity of what would be my desk for the next week, to one of the exhibited images of Evans. The days that followed were filled with cycling tours and retouching photographs for our friends at Chatty Feet, whose new collection of socks is launching any time now! Without further ado, enjoy some of the views that opened up in front of me last week...

The week ended with soaring temperatures of 42C degrees in the late afternoon sun, which were followed by a thunderstorm during the night, what a way to end the trip!
